Issue: You are receiving spam messages from your own domain so your domain is being spoofed in either the from header or the envelope sender.
Solution: Activate the domain spoofing protection on the proofpoint Essentials console.
This option is designed to quarantine incoming messages that appear to be coming from your organization and coming from your domain name.
To enable the spoofing protection you will need “
- Login to the proofpoint portal
- Navigate to Company Settings
- Click Spam Settings
- Enable “Inbound domain spoofing protection"
- Check the option “Update spam detection settings for all the existing user accounts”
- Click SAVE button
